Hi everyone!

Finally, a new edit from me! I'm so sorry I've been just uploading older edits I lost lately - editing has been a struggle. Probably because it's my way of secretly communicating how I feel about things.... And also because starting over is hard.

Now, about this edit.

This show has got to be the best show I watched this year! I loved it, from beginning to end. If you love fantasy and immersive storytelling, this show is what you should watch. There's 10 episodes and they're all amazing - each leaving you wanting more. The characters are amazing, from our amazing hero gelflings Rian, Deet, and Brea and of course our fearless paladin podling Hup. If you've seen the Dark Crystal movie, we all know the Skeksis were the most frightening creatures(I remember having nightmares of them when I was a kid), and they're still scary!

The artistry is amazing, the details with the puppets and the combination with CGI was just beautiful. Just stunning from beginning to end. I really recommend watching this show. It's fantastic!

The thing I love about Jim Henson's Dark Crystal series is that they're not afraid to scare us. They think that fear is good, and I have to agree. It's okay to be scared sometimes; it's okay to show dark things, because there's an ultimate message behind that. When life is at it's darkest, there is ALWAYS hope. Always. The heroes come out on top; they fight for the good, because it's the difficult times that motivates them forward. Good always overcomes evil. There's so much darkness in the world today; I think we all need that reminder that even when things seem hopeless, light will always defeat the dark, the good will always overcome the bad, and that in the end, the scary things will be defeated.

Probably why I also love Labyrinth. Because it follows that same line, the growth of the main character, the push to make it through the maze, and how good overcomes evil.

The best thing of all, I watched this while I was recovering from my tendon surgery. This was one of the shows my friend ClariGal and I binge watched. We had so much fun watching this show together. We laughed, we cried, we cheered, we fought with the gelflings and we fell in love with Deet/Rian(I ship those puppets so hard).

It was a beautiful show and I recommend it for everyone. If you've been on the fence to watch it, give it a shot. Even if you haven't watched The Dark Crystal, the show is good at standing alone. You don't need to know the original film to watch this show(although, the Easter eggs are kind of nice if you know them).
