If you struggle picking a pairing, sometimes I like to put multiple pairings in a randomize and let a randomizer pick for me. It's a great way to see if you're down to edit a pairing or if you're secretly disappointed by the outcome.

Don't be afraid to use a pairing from your favorite fandom as well.
