The Trump administration is putting a border construction project in Texas on hold for now.
The wide-ranging project in Big Bend National Park has faced backlash from both Democrats and Republicans. Critics say it could damage the park's protected landscape. They also say the area's rugged terrain already discourages illegal crossings.
Rodney Scott, Head of Customs and Border Protection, says he plans to conduct on-the-ground evaluation of the project.
And Kentucky jail workers say the electric shock gloves ICE wants to buy have worked well for them.
ICE reportedly plans to spend up to $20 million on thousands of pairs of the gloves for agents and officers. They're designed to deliver a painful electric shock through direct skin contact.
Correctional officers at the Nelson County Correctional Center have been using the gloves for about four years. Now, we're told officers receive extensive training before they could use them. Some have even tested the shock on themselves training.
The gloves are mainly used in situations where de-escalation efforts fail. But civil rights advocates warn that the devices could be abused, and raised concerns about ICE agents getting another use-of-force tool. The manufacturer says officers must complete training in recertification before using the gloves.
And a one-of-a-kind Ferrari just sold for $41 million. The custom 2026 Ferrari Luce sold at a charity auction in California.
The car is the first production model from Ferrari's new EV line. The car features a color-shifting finish that changes from green to violet, depending on the light.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Ferrari Foundation's education programs.
