This specific level of Advent (5-B) is interesting in that there is a triggered checkpoint save around 21 seconds into the level. Conveniently, there's a nearby cliff that you can reach in just under that time that allows you to perform this mostly useless stunt.

The basis of this glitch is the fact that the game will save that checkpoint regardless of position or state, unless the map has been reset. By throwing yourself off the cliff and triggering the "falling death" fade-out that activates a checkpoint reload, you can get the game to save a checkpoint past the area where the "falling death" would be triggered. This means you pass beyond the area where the game would normally kill you.

This doesn't have any practical use so far, but I imagine there may be one or two other levels where you can activate similar glitches.

It's important to note that timing this is fairly difficult, and if you time it poorly as I show in the last clip, you end up on an infinite loop of falling that doesn't offer much chance to press the escape key to exit.
