Great astro photos have great color, but great color is elusive and color management tools are often counterintuitive. This series is intended to fix that. We'll begin by exploring the best method I know to color balance masters to establish a foundation upon which to build, then explore how to obtain the most colorful stars, then examine how to use the Levels and Channel Mixer tools to strategically enhance, transform and refine color layer by layer.
