Addlon 22" Caged Light ceiling fan in matte black/faux wood blades. This video is not sponsored or affiliated with the brand in any way, and I know essentially nothing about this brand label. I bought this myself for a specific potential application; if it works out the way I want/need it to, I'll show the end result eventually. Basically, I was looking for the smallest possible blade span I could find within a traditional ceiling fan format (i.e. not fandelier or a portable fan blade/motor), in a downrod mount, ideally with a light system that I could modify or remove. I chose this model because the light looked easiest to eliminate. Wanted an existing matte black or gold/brass motor finish so I wouldn't have to repaint everything to my preference. I also really went off of appearance that I generally liked, and low cost was essential. In the case this doesn't work out, I didn't want to make a major investment. It seems they just raised the price, but with a coupon I got mine for just over $50 on Amazon. There's quite a few options of these direct-import tiny fans, but the scope of what I like style-wise is somewhat limited, especially in the downrod-mount subcategory, and some of them can get a bit pricy. I've been kind of waiting for one of my affiliated showroom manufacturer partners to get into this kind of product realm, and I would've chosen to work with one of those, but it seems fandeliers are prevailing on that end and I don't really need to wait on this when there are quite a few alternate routes out there. I could use my Hinkley Atom, but for context, even that size is larger than I would like to use, so the tiny size really matters. My Kichler Yur would be a contender, but is the wrong finish palette, and at this point is more on the collectible end, so I don't want to use it either. This fan is pretty decent for the price I paid. It's essentially like the fan component that a lot of higher-end fandeliers use, but in a standalone product. The motor sometimes goes into a bit of a stutter-rumble while running, I think maybe it just doesn't have enough load and hits a moment of recalibration, but otherwise it runs quietly and the initial issue has gotten progressively better as I let it run more. These little things can move some serious air for their size, and the added features with the included remote make it a pretty good value, in my opinion. I'm conflicted over direct-import products like this because of my love for the showroom channel, but would also 100% rather choose something like this than the absolute baseline junk at the home center. It's better style, performance, and experience overall. Only major issue I have is with the blade finish, which essentially starts to rub off and fingerprints if you touch it too much. No biggie for me because this blade finish doesn't suit my needs and I planned to paint them if all goes to plan, but that aspect is kind of garbage. I don't think they'd hold up very well to cleaning over time.
