Adding some brass bowties to a serving board. I started out with the Amana Tool Item No. 51408-Z 3/16" diameter ZrN coated spiral 'O' flute bit from Toolstoday, toolstoday.com/v-14615-51408-z.html , using the Axiom Precision AR8 CNC machine toolstoday.com/v-14604-axiom-prov5-series.html

A pocket was cut using the item no. 46200-K 1/8" diameter Spektra ™ coated downcut bit, toolstoday.com/v-13777-46200-k.html , and the bowties fit perfectly with a -.3mm pocket allowance in the Vectric software, toolstoday.com/cnc-machines-accessories/cnc-software.html , to give a little extra room for the epoxy and any expanding wood grain from it.

The downcut bit worked great on the serving board leaving a perfectly clean top surface without any cleanup required. The bowties were installed with some Total Boat epoxy. After it was dry the piece was sanded down with 220 grit. The piece was then finished off with Walrus Cutting Boar Oil for a durable matte finish! toolstoday.com/walrus-oil-cutting-boardoil.html #short #shorts
