What's up Geekly Goods fam! 🤯 Adam Driver has officially been cast in Marvel's X-Men reboot, confirmed via video message at D23, and this one comes with a genuinely fun twist.
Driver actually opened his announcement by saying he was "very excited to be playing the role of Magneto," letting that sit for a beat before correcting himself and revealing his real character, Nathaniel Milbury, better known to comic fans as Mister Sinister. He also shared that he and Kevin Feige have been talking for years about him joining the MCU, adding, "Now I feel like we've found the perfect film, at the perfect time, with characters I care deeply about." Honestly, I feel like this is the perfect role for him. He was rumored to be Magneto at various points over the summer, but Mister Sinister feels like such a stronger fit, especially given the character's deep genetic obsession with Jean Grey and Cyclops in the comics.
Driver joins Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Inde Navarrette as Rogue. X-Men arrives in theaters May 5th, 2028.
