My submission for the Hardware Jams Acid Breaks Weekend Challenge.
Based around part of the force theme, this jam was fun to play. I always enjoy a chance to patch some laser sounds :-)
This week's challenge prompt:
Do an Acid Breakbeat tune you have to!
Will it be a DnB or an electro, a rap or a broken techno? Genre is up to you and free as long as it has a 303!
And since it was “May the Fourth” yesterday you can add some starwars elements as sauce to your jam.
All the sounds were made on my DIY eurorack modular synth and sequenced by a beatstep pro.
Always Learning

I'm a strong believer in continuous improvement and always trying to learn something new. I wanted to use portamento/glide in this jam, but don't have a separate slew module. So I set the entropy sample and hold to sample and track mode, sent the pitch and gate signal through that and then used the glide function on the entropy expander to slide the pitch signal.
My DIY Synth Rules

I aim to meet the following criteria when adding modules to my synth:
◦ I must have constructed it.
This can be a kit or from scratch but I must have soldered it
◦ The audio signal path should be analog.
I'm trying to avoid digital modules so I can learn more about analog electronics
◦ Learn something new
Try to learn something while constructing the module. Learn about the circuits, experiment with different signal processing options. Be creative.
◦ Have fun
