My submission for the Hardware Jams “Cities” Weekend Challenge.
I wanted to try something a bit different this weekend, so went for New Orleans as my city of choice. The birthplace of jazz and so influential in many styles of music, such as blues and boogie woogie. I am nowhere near the great musicians of that city, but here is my simple tribute to some of the music from it. I hope you enjoy this New Orleans Boogie.
This week’s challenge prompt:
Make a piece of music inspired by a city of your choice! Roam around the world and pick a city! Samples are welcomed!
Please state the city in name of your jam and on the spreadsheet, can be anything from Berlin to Tokyo!

Always Learning

I'm a strong believer in continuous improvement and always trying to learn something new. While creating this video I was experimenting with different ways of adding swing on the beatstep. For this piece, using triplets for sequences enabled me to add the groove I wanted as the standard swing knob wasn’t quite what I wanted.
My DIY Synth Rules
════════════
I aim to meet the following criteria when adding modules to my synth:
◦ I must have constructed it.
This can be a kit or from scratch but I must have soldered it
◦ The audio signal path should be analog.
I'm trying to avoid digital modules so I can learn more about analog electronics
◦ Learn something new
Try to learn something while constructing the module. Learn about the circuits, experiment with different signal processing options. Be creative.
◦ Have fun
