Large transportation projects often require the development of many different systems in parallel, across numerous different engineering disciplines and specialty contractors, frequently under time pressure, presenting a substantial challenge in developing a fully integrated and holistically engineered project.
In this webinar, we will the review the common challenges in large transportation projects, and present how the digital, model-based system engineering framework addresses these challenges during early conceptual design and preliminary engineering. The webinar will provide real-world examples of the cross disciplinary engineering, including the management of operational and stakeholder needs, the identification of derived system requirements, the development of a system architecture, the identification and specification of system interfaces, and how the holistic engineering approach resulted in an improved systems integration during the early stages of transportation projects.
This webinar is for anyone who is interested in digital transformation on large transportation projects and in the model-based systems engineering approach.
Presenter: Oliver Hoehne, Senior Vice President, Systems Engineering, WSP in the U.S.
