The Mayor’s Business Climate Challenge is an energy efficiency programme which supported businesses to reduce their energy consumption, to accelerate building decarbonisation efforts in London. WSP is a proud advisor to the Greater London Authority and was appointed in 2022 to deliver this 18-month program with two other partners.
In this webinar we present how we helped reduce emissions from London’s existing commercial and mixed-use buildings by providing energy conservation recommendations and implementation support to 250 businesses, driving them to take action to reduce their workplace energy consumption by at least 10% in the immediate term and to plan for measure to become net zero buildings in the longer term. We are measuring this progress with live data from buildings; a good portion of the businesses have already achieve 10% energy savings on their premises. This is a very encouraging milestone to progress further on their Net Zero ambitions for Net Zero in the medium and long term.
This webinar is for public sector authorities aiming to replicate such successful program and businesses keen to hear about measuring energy efficiency in their premises.
