In this video, Alexander Kögel explains different technologies that can be used for finishing polymer parts and and thus to have customer-ready parts.
The different technologies are: 🔍
1️⃣ Raw Part: Sandy look, porous surface
2️⃣ Dyeing: Parts submerged in bath containing color pigments
3️⃣ Blasting: Homogenized, smooth surface; No material abrasion
4️⃣ Polishing: Vibrating tumbler using abrasives; Mechanical smoothing
5️⃣ Flocking: Adhesive and flock is applied on surface; Velvet finish
❕ These post-processing process can increase the value of polymer parts significantly.
