Absolute Blue is a free shoot 'em up, in the style of classics like R-Type and Gradius.
This is quite a big game, considering it's freeware, with 12 levels set over four worlds. Absolute Blue features a tutorial, one of very few for this genre! You control a ship, and as you fly through space, scrolling right avoiding scenery and shooting down waves of enemies and the occasional boss.
The sound effects in Absolute Blue are very 16-bit era, which is fine. Graphically it is also reminiscent of that time, but a little more polished and with some great explosion effects. There are three difficulty levels, to suit most players.
What sets Absolute Blue apart is its over the top power-up system. When you start off, your ship is useless, but pick up a few power-ups and the tables are soon turned on the army of alien invaders. While you lose everything if you lose a life, once your power ups reach a certain level you will be firing so much around the screen enemies will barely have a moment to fight back! Of course, some may find this makes the game too easy, though it's a lot of fun.

I thought about postponing its release because so many SQ games have recently been completed. Since my game is different (its really retro style with 320x200 pictures, AGI fonts - design very similar to SQ2) its hardly comparable to the other games. I decided to release it right away.
Its some kind of hybrid between AGI (graphics) and modern aspects (icon controlled, ogg-Music).
If you are not yet convinced I have provided 2 screenshots under games in production.

Enter the world of Jackson, as you progress through his world in the game No Action Jackson. The game is your standard adventure game, but thats not all, it contains really great looking visuals, very challenging puzzles, and the humor of the old LucasArts games that brings back memories for those that know them.
The game starts off simple enough, you play as Jackson who is planning on going to play some D & D (Dungeons and Dragons) with his friends scheduled. Thats when trouble occurs when Jacksons mom says he has to spend some quality family time with his grandparents who came over. So starts the game as you try to escape from your house and get to your game with your buds. Once you do escape you find out your buds have ditched you and are doing their own activities and now you play the adventure as you follow Jacksons day in getting them together to play some D & D!
The interface of the game is classic LucasArts style reminiscent very much of games like Day of the Tentacle, with all the typical very choosing options pick up, talk to etc... The right mouse button also allows you to use the most common command on certain objects as well. The graphics in the game are very excellent, very bright and colorful in nature, but very closely resembling Day of the Tentacle style exactly. Heck even Jackson could be seen as a take off as Bernard from Day of the Tentacle, both in appearance and the way he acts. The game is also very animated and lively, as you wander the world, so its very cool to see that bit of effort was put into the game, as it enhances that nostalgia feeling.
Sound in the game is very well done, as the effects that are used from opening of doors, to using a certain item are appropriate. Music is all right in the game, not great I thought but still it wont have you pulling out your hair or anything. Also of mention is the nice cinematics that play through the game at certain events that show Jackson describing to his pals how he got them here and what he had to do.
Not really, much in terms of downsides to the game, there is the odd glitch that you may encounter here and there I ran into only 1 but itll probably happen, an annoyance for sure but its not too bad. You also only have 1 save game slot, which is disappointing for the gamers that like to have multiple ones, so that if they want to try a different strategy they can save and go back and such.
But overall No Action Jackson, is a very excellent adventure game that is really well done in many areas of the game, a very fun game that will keep you amused as you explore it, if youre an adventure fan you definitely have to check this one out.")

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II was released on June 17, 2003. The plot of the game picks up where The Legacy of Goku left off, and continues until the end of the Cell Games Saga when Gohan defeats the evil android Cell. The game introduced several new concepts to the series. The first was transformations, which allowed characters to become temporarily stronger, at the cost of slowly draining their energy. It also introduced the scouter, which allowed players to look up the stats of other characters in the game, as well as basic information about them. The game also introduced charged melee attacks, which allowed characters to unleash a powerful physical strike after a short charging period. The game also allowed characters to further supplement their stats with capsules that were scattered around the game world. Despite being titled The Legacy of Goku this game featured the most limited play as the character Goku.
Due to the games success, a second version was released titled Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II International exclusive to Japan on July 23, 2004. In this version all characters were given new profile images and their names were reverted to their original Japanese. However, Mister Satan still retains his English name Hercule on the front of his parade float.")

Overview
The third Ranma 1/2 game is a one-on-one beat em up featuring extensive visual scenes that vary depending on whether you win a fight as boy-type Ranma or girl-type Ranma. Levels are set in a variety of locations, with a crazy array of characters from the manga out to get you. During fights you can hold down the button to power up a super attack, or hit select to change from boy to girl and back again, female Ranma being more agile but having less power.
Comment
As a beat em up, the game is pretty competent, but where it really shines is presentation. The scenes between levels are well drawn and very funny in places and are the glue that holds the game together, and this combination makes the whole package greater than the sum of its parts and a fantastic bit of entertainment, especially for Ranma fans.")
