Sometimes we get lucky scouring Google Earth in the hopes of finding something intriguing to explore. On this occasion, we hit the jackpot. Leaving Tonto at the base of the washed-out canyon road, we hiked about a mile through deep crevasses and over large rocks which had been tossed by a raging flood. Our destination loomed into view - a large, abandoned mill. We knew nothing about its history or even if we would be able to access it.
