As for the BIG RENOVATION NEWS, you’ll have to watch to the end to find out :) But first, this video starts 5 weeks weeks ago when I was planning out the guest bathroom reno, and decided to do a concrete sink and countertop for the bathroom, but quickly realized the workshop was not ready for serious concrete casting -- that meant I needed to build a new workbench, and more specifically, a casting table for the workshop. (Altho, I think this design would make a great workbench for woodworking too.) I decided to build the casting table / workbench from 2x4s, and to weld a steel table base. And that meant learning to use some new tools to use in the process -- I flattened the 2x4 wood work surface with my new Avid CNC, and had to learn how to use new CNC software to do so/ I also had to learn how to use my new welder when fabricating the steel base.
