In the 1st episode of my abandoned building renovation, we makeover the shop bathroom with a DIY concrete sink. Check out SimpliSafe here: simplisafe.com/modustrial
This bathroom was absolutely disgusting (aka the “trainspotting bathroom), so the DIY renovation is pretty dramatic – I built a concrete and wood sink and countertop, installed floor tile, and applied a concrete skim coat to the walls…and of course installed a new toilet. The before and after makeover is drastic, so make sure to watch this bathroom remodel until the end. I’m really happy how this half bath / powder room came out.
For the concrete sink, I used Fishstone's HP50 concrete mix + super six admix with PVA fibers. This concrete mix is super flowly and yields a very clean surface right out of the concrete form.
This bathroom is the first of many projects in the process of turning this old abandoned building into my dream home, workshop, and youtube studio, and I’ll be sharing everything about the renovation here – so make sure you’re subbed to follow along
