The governor has signed Assembly Bill 2249, strengthening California guidelines for cannabis packaging, labeling and advertising. The law restricts cartoons and imagery associated with children when those designs make cannabis products appear like candy. Lawmakers say the changes could help address the risk of accidental consumption. The Department of Cannabis Control will provide resources and guidance for cannabis vendors.
