Another Tremonti track. Another odd tuning. The low B on my 7 string tuned down to G#. Ridiculous.
My solos get further and further away from being accurate to the originals the more of these I do. I try and keep the fundamental licks in place and it's mostly just the legato and runs that I just do my own thing. This is as much to do with not having enough time as it is impatience and sense of rhythm not being great in working out the timing.
Think I used too much saturation on the main vocal possibly.
Annoyingly there is a high pitched squeak sort of noise which happens at points on the drum track. As awesome as the playing is (as usual from youtube.com/@glyde1436), unfortunately the drums are all on the one track copied from his Youtube channel and trying to make them less muddy against the rest of the track I couldn't EQ out the squeak noise.
Had to borrow my bassists 5 string bass again for this one and tune down.
This was the first song where I used my Quad Cortex which I got after I'd recorded the guitar tracks so just used a stock preset for the bass part.
Guest appearance from my wife who pops in and then quickly out again.
