A basic stir fry of shrimp, scallops, and veggies using my trusty old carbon steel wok. With practice, such dishes can be invented on the fly, or while you're standing in front of the fridge wondering what to have for dinner.
Ingredients for one good sized serving:
Shrimp - several
Sea scallops - several
Broccoli - A cup or so, cut into bite size florets
Onion - about 1/3 medium, sliced
Sweet red pepper - 1/4 large pepper, sliced
Mushroom - 1 medium Portabello (or white)
Garlic - 1 hefty clove
Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/8 tsp
Thyme - 1/8 tsp
Dill - 1/8 tsp
Horseradish - 1/2 tsp
Peanut oil - 2 to 3 tbs, as needed
Bacon - 2 slices, cut to bite size pieces
Soy sauce (shoyu) - 2 tbs, Kikkoman or Aloha
Lime juice - a couple of squirts
Assemble per video. Serve over rice with more shoyu to taste. This easily scales up for a family of 4, with a slightly longer cooking time.
