Well I'm continuing with the Fuel Dolly Build. In part 2 I install some wheels!!
I kind of have a vision of what I want this dolly to look like, but to get to that point there are a lot of grey ad fuzzy areas!! Like for example how to mount wheels.
I want the dolly to be mobile and able to get anywhere on the property with minimum effort on my behalf, so big wheels would probably be better than small diameter ones.
I had a set of big diameter wheels with an axle from an old push mower I had scraped. I think they'll work pretty good so I install them in this video. Of course it didn't go smoothly, but I did get them mounted in the end.
Then I needed something on the front to set the dolly down half ways level. For this I had to form some flat bar I had saved from a shipping crate my Woodland Mills WC46 wood Chipper was shipped in. Another good use of scrap material that was laying around.
So now I have wheels and a support for the front. In the next exciting episode I'm going to try and get a handle on this!! LOL
