A big step forward in the rebuilding of my Workbench. Time to assemble and install the workbench drawers!!!
I spent a lot of time measuring, planning, laying out and cutting 3 sheets of plywood. Now we'll see how I did!!
It's time for some assembly!! In this video I show kind of a detailed method I used to assemble a drawer. The first try didn't goo too good so I modified my procedure and by the end of it I was getting pretty efficient at drawer assembly.
Then I had to come up with a way to install the drawers on the full extension sliders so that the drawers would close square with the face frame of the bench. I struggled with this but ended up with a method where I used a torpedo level and that seemed to work out pretty good.
Some of the drawers need some tweaking but for the most part I was pleased with the assembly and installation. How about you? Do you think this turned out OK? Would you have done a retrofit like this? Let me know in the comments please!!
