I wanted to get the outside water up and running for the summer. Guess what I found? And it gets worse!!
I have the outside water pump under the boat house. It's mounted in an insulated pump enclosure in the boat house to protect the pump from freezing. Or that's what I thought...
In the last video about the water pump I ended up having to get a new pump. So today I head to the boat house to install it. All was going well except for filling the pump head with water to prime it. It seemed to take a lot of water, which had me concerned.
So I figured the pump head was full enough to try a prime. I replaced the plug and turned on the pump. It ran well but didn't pick up a prime or make any pressure. When I shut off the pump, another 'problem' reared it's ugly head!
The stop valve going to the lake suction line had also froze and broke. So I ended up having to isolate the lake suction line and reconnect to just draw from the well crocks. Everything goes pretty good after that!!
Pump repairs, who ever said they were a walk in the park!! LOL
