I never gave Vice: Project Doom for the NES a fair shot because the box art is super lame, but it seems like a pretty solid title. The game features multiple action styles; Aside from just the platforming levels that feel like Ninja Gaiden with guns, there are also driving levels and first-person shooting areas.
But I really like the debug feature that was left in this game. If you hold the A button while you reset the game, keep holding that A button and then press A and B on controller two. This will bring you to a hidden Sound Test and Level Select!
Pressing A or B on controller two will switch you between the Sound Test and Level Select. And after you choose a level with the Level Select, you can press Left or Right on controller 2 to change the game speed! Pretty neat feature, if you ask me.
But yeah, maybe some day I'll live stream Vice: Project Doom on NES!
