In Final Fantasy V for the Super Famicom, there's a crazy exploit called the QuickLeak trick that allows you to slowly "poison" any enemy to death in just one turn. This even works on Superbosses like Omega, although it will take a VERY LONG time.
If a character casts the Quick spell, that character will get two immediate turns in a row.
The Venom Rod casts the Bio spell on your target, and also inflicts the Leak status, which will cause an enemy to slowly lose HP over time. So, you'll need a character who can cast Quick and equip a Venom Rod.
Cast the Quick spell with any character. During the first of your two turns, break a Venom Rod from your inventory on your target. Then on the second turn, just wait!
During the second turn of your Quick spell, the battle will be essentially paused, but the Leak status will continue to drain the enemy's HP. If you wait long enough, your target will eventually be defeated.
This trick can work on - I think - any enemy in the game. In this example I tried the QuickLeak trick on Omega, who has 55,000 HP. It took about two hours and four minues for him to eventually die.
The names of the spells, monsters, and items might vary depending on which version of FFV you're playing.
