The Case Study of Vanitas (Vanitas no Carte) is a new vampire anime from 2021, with a new season coming in 2022. A good watch for the Halloween season, and available on Funimation and Hulu, the "Case Study" follows a doctor with the power of the greatest vampire outcast, in his quest to provide salvation to the world of curse bearers. However, the definition of salvation he, and his follower Noe ascribe to end up being quite different... The anime has some standard elements, if you're just about cute anime girls and guys, or wallpaper worthy shots, then it'll probably be a good pick. But, it also asks questions about love, and shows it in a very unideal and physical light. Normally, sexual aspects of anime land flat and detract, but here, it adds a new dimension.
