The shark attack he survived recently while snorkeling in the Bahamas reminded a Niantic man of the opening scene in the movie “Jaws,” when the 25-foot Great White jerks the victim underwater while ripping in for the kill.

Fortunately for John Schweizer, the shark that bit him on July 24 was only about seven feet long and he’s still in one piece.

To celebrate his homecoming, neighbors surprised him at his shoreline home with a shark party. :shark:
