This week Plant Lovers, though I have VOWED to not buy any new orchids.....I just did!!! And for some VERY good reasons! Firstly, after literally years, I've managed to find a replacement plant for the Coelogyne usitana I killed a few years ago!! Hurrah!! But now the anxiety to not kill this one has set in!
I've also been after a Paphiopedilum insigne for ages as they are a fabulous cool grower that loves Melbourne's conditions. However, I just couldn't find one! SO I've found a species from very similar conditions that looks VERY similar and I'm going to give that a whirl instead: Paphiopedilum villosum possibly var. boxallii.
And lastly two fabulous Pleione cultivars from the wonderful Jane Tonkin: Pleione barbarae and Pleione Shangtung 'Peter Bradbury'. And in this video I'll show you how I pot these up!
