This week Plant Lovers...you know sometimes you get carried away in the heat of the moment and end up with something you DEEPLY question later....this is JUST such an orchid! It's an interesting-ish species, Dienia ophrydis, quite lush foliage with hundreds of tiny flowers...that's about it! It has a massive range and comes from tropical monsoonal conditions so it has a hard winter dormancy like Catasetum and tropical Calanthe, and can be grown in exactly the same way...just slightly less light! I grow mine indoors all year and it is a FAST grower! Hmmmm...my jury is out! But it flowered for me so I am grateful for that!
