A Mind Forever Voyaging (AMFV) is a 1985 interactive fiction game developed by legendary game designer Steve Meretzky and published by Infocom. It was Infocom's seventeenth title and pushed the boundaries of what text-based storytelling could achieve.

While the game was released for several platforms: Apple II, Atari ST, Commodore 128, MS-DOS, Macintosh, and Amiga, the Amiga version remains one of the rarest and most elusive to collectors today. Why is that? In this video, we dive into the production history, market conditions, and quirks of the Infocom catalog to find out.

Fun Fact: Steve Meretzky also collaborated with author Douglas Adams on the iconic The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy interactive fiction game and later created other Infocom classics including Planetfall, Leather Goddesses of Phobos, and Zork Zero.

Sit back and enjoy this deep dive into one of Infocom’s most ambitious and thought-provoking games, and uncover why the Amiga version might be the crown jewel in any retro collector’s library.
