Today, this location may look like a simple roadside overlook, but it was once home to a massive resort that welcomed hundreds of guests. Using historic photographs, we compare the area then and now, search for surviving remains, and imagine what it must have been like to vacation here more than a century ago.
The Kittatinny Hotel was once one of the Delaware Water Gap’s most impressive destinations—but after it was destroyed by fire in 1931, it was never rebuilt. Now, only a few clues remain from the enormous hotel that once stood here.
