For the next installment of the Daily summer series I’m walking downtown Pen Argyl, PA — a Slate Belt town built on slate, just like Bangor. We’ll hit the Main Street, check out weona parl where they hsbe a classic carousel, and then visit Fairview Cemetery where Hollywood legend Jayne Mansfield is buried. From 1950s movie star to small-town PA… her story ended here. It’s surreal seeing a Hollywood icon in the middle of the Slate Belt.This is what real PA looks like.
