Come along as we head into Washington, D.C. for the inaugural Freedom 250 Grand Prix!
For America’s 250th anniversary, INDYCAR took over the streets surrounding the National Mall for an incredible street race through the heart of the nation’s capital. The 1.7-mile circuit brought race cars past some of Washington’s most recognizable landmarks for an event unlike anything normally seen in D.C.
In this vlog, we experience the Freedom 250 atmosphere firsthand, take in the massive crowds and sights around the course, and watch INDYCAR racing right in the middle of Washington, D.C. It was pretty surreal seeing race cars flying through streets surrounded by so much American history.
The day ultimately saw Kyle Kirkwood take the victory, with Christian Lundgaard finishing second and Will Power third.
Definitely one of the more unique events we’ve gotten to experience during the Daily Summer Series!

Kyle Kirkwood led an enormous 128 of 147 laps and beat Christian Lundgaard by 3.0906 seconds. Will Power completed the podium, giving Andretti three cars in the top four.
One section did have to be trimmed due to copyright. I apologize for the cut during the Honda segment
