Down in the depths below Peveril Castle in Castleton is The Devil's Arse. One of a number of caves in Derbyshire in the Peak District National Park. It was also once known as Peak Cavern, but only for the etiquette of a royal visit from Queen Victoria.
The cave has water running through it, as well as airflow and natural gasses and this makes the sound of....well, you can guess!
It is also the largest natural cave opening in the UK and today is used for concerts, but was once full of houses of Troglodytes...cave workers who made rope. They moved out in 1915 after the men went to War.
It has also been a location for the BBC series The Chronicles of Narnia, specifically The Silver Chair episode 4. The slide Tom Baker and the children whizz down to the underworld is still in the location today.
