Existing for 130 years, Blackpool Pleasure Beach has long been an iconic visitor attraction of entertainment and exhilaration. Some of the rides on the park have existed since its early days including the 'Sir Hiram Maxim's Captive Flying Machines' which is the oldest (opened 1904), River Caves (1905) and the world's very first ghost train (1930s). Naturally, some of these have, over time, also developed some long standing tales of the supernatural and paranormal.
Here are 4 ghost tales from the Pleasure Beach.... the spirit of Karl Marx in a now demolished pub, a phantom ice skater in the arena, a 9 year old girl up to mischief in a gift shop. and Cloggy, a former employee still hard at work in the Ghost Train
