Hardcastle Crags is a spectacular, 400-acre wooded Pennine valley located just two miles north of Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. Cared for by the National Trust, this deep, rocky ravine features ancient oak and beech woodlands, tumbling streams, and dramatic millstone grit rock formations that give the site its name. Historically nicknamed the "Switzerland of Yorkshire," it is a popular destination for walkers, families, and nature enthusiasts.

It is also a location of folklore and dark history including the cave of Tom Bell.
