Bryn Celli Ddu (meaning ,mound in the dark grove') is a burial chamber, likely completed 2000 years ago. It was excavated in 1928. Inside the chamber was a stone monolith with serpent like carvings which was unique to other burial chambers across the country. At ine point it wpuld have also had a atanding stone circle around the outside. The tomb also aligns with the summer solstice, where the light shines directly into the chamber....
