I flew my 78 year old 1946 Aeronca Chief 350 miles to Lincoln, California to get flight training in the legendary T6 Texan! This is the humble start of my road to flying warbirds (hopefully). As a vital WWII training aircraft, the AT-6 Texan was the last step before pilots transitioned to their combat aircraft. On the flight up I stopped to visit a friend at Nevada County airport with another Aeronca Chief!
