In 1925, the Australian Museum commissioned three statues depicting Aboriginal individuals; a child, a man, and a woman - displayed anonymously as relics of a "dying race." The woman was Nellie Walker, great-grandmother of Irene Ridgeway, who is now on a mission to uncover Nellie’s story.
Through Irene's journey to reconnect these statues with their descendants and reintroduce them with names and identities, the film offers a profound exploration of the systemic dehumanization faced by Aboriginal people. It also highlights the resilience and determination of their descendants to rewrite the narrative.
