During a school break, 14-year-old Poonam joyfully tells her friends that her wedding is only days away. But as they begin sharing unsettling stories of girls whose marriages turned painful and uncertain, her excitement gives way to doubt. Poonam realises she knows almost nothing about the man she is about to marry, or the family whose home she will soon enter.
In a matter of days, she must leave childhood behind, move in with strangers, and learn to follow the rules of a new household. As fear, hope, and curiosity collide, one question lingers: will this marriage bring love, or will Poonam’s future be decided before she ever has a chance to choose it?
