The documentary “The Community” offers a look at the oldest campsite in Portugal. In the 1960s, small groups of people would gather and camp in the middle of nature with little camping equipment, often handmade. Over time, camping culture in Portugal grew just like in any other European country throughout the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and camping infrastructures were created along with associations and clubs with a steadily increasing number of members.

The documentary "A Comunidade" was selected for several international festivals, such as the Go Short International Short Film Festival in the Netherlands, and the Milano Film Festival. Its awards include the Grand Prize for Documentary at Curtas Vila do Conde International Film Festival, Portugal (2012), and the Best National Short Film award at the Arquiteturas Film Festival in Lisbon, Portugal.
