A peaceful evening unfolded at Okaukuejo Waterhole as three elephants slowly arrived for a quiet drink in the golden light of sunset. 🐘✨
Two of the elephants were seen gently touching and wrapping their trunks around one another a common elephant behavior used for greeting, reassurance, bonding, and social communication between herd members. Researchers describe these trunk touches as important social interactions that help strengthen relationships and comfort one another.
No drama today just calm African moments, soft sunset light, and the incredible social bond of these gentle giants in the Namibian desert.
