Consider this yet another short little preview of future uploads, if all goes well (yes, I know I still have some stuff to edit up from VHS digitizations, bare with me as always!).
This was recorded 21 years ago to this day, on a tape that had a bunch of BBC2 shows on before this point (from two days after) and here/onwards featured mostly repeats of "The Simpsons" on Sky One, part of an episode of "24" premiered on the same network...and this thing. "Love on a Saturday Night", an ill-fated attempt by ITV to fill in the void that Cilla Black's "Blind Date" left when that show changed hands. The tape does *not* feature the entire episode present, which was an exhaustive Valentine's Day special of the show with extra VTs from real couples before the breaks, but while trying not to wholly pre-empt my thoughts before I show off its ad breaks...even in 2004, I don't blame my family for deciding to turn away from this. ITV'd *totally* make a show like this again too if they could get away with the casual grossness of it...
...but ah well, this video's not about that but for the glimpses of how our cablebox back then was like to use! I didn't expect to see this stuff when it appeared and when it did, I honestly gasped in delight. Didn't think I'd see how it was like to use this on tapes we still had that didn't have its contents taped over (or...not so taped over something like this was erased) so...for the uber-nerds out there who'd be interested, here's a look at that stuff! Not much but it's enough that you can get a good idea anyway. :) A couple of menus and a channel change-over.
Oh, incidentally, Happy Valentine's Day if you celebrate that. But even if you don't, hope you're having as decent a day as you can have!

Oh hey, guess it wasnt long until I posted again, eh?
Accidentally bumped into the source files for this and was surprised I hadnt done any uploads based on these so...hey! Its May, Corporation-Mandated Celebration of Huge IP Franchise Day was earlier this month...as good a time as any to share the continuity for the Network Premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Im aware that people have shared continuities to the original Star Wars movies specifically so I guess, high time for this stuff to be archived on the internet for the one mainline SW movie I know thats had a nice big Network Premiere on a major UK TV network...which I know isnt as impressive a thing now with stuff leaning more to streaming platforms than network TV but hey, traditions eh?
CONTENTS!:
1) Coca-Cola ad (Partial)
2) Vodafone ad
3) Webuyanycar.com ad (w/ Phillip Scofield, because of course)
4) McDonalds ad
5) Oak Furnitureland ad
6) ASDA / George.com ad
7) DFS ad (The DFS ads in these uploads also tie-in to The LEGO Movie 2, which I remember really enjoying yet no one talks about it now)
8) Harveys ad
9) Travel Republic ad
10) Ford SUV Range ad
11) Nutella ad (Maybe its because this is around an airing of an incredible Massive movie thats okay for families to watch but dont be too shocked to see belated returns of Christmassy ads that feel like theyd not be relevant by December 30th, when this aired. xD Im not complaining, myself though)
12) ITV ID Sting / Promo for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
13) ITV Creates Promo (In case it wasnt clear, this is ITV announcing the launch of a new ident package which at the time of posting I *think* is still being rolled out. At the very least, I dont think theyve ever had ident repeats week after week so kinda ambitious...if only they paid as much care and attention to not being such an Oppressively Bland network otherwise!)
14) ITV ident / Just Eat sponsership bumper
15) Start of Star Wars: A Force Awakens / Urewelc / ITV Back Soon ID Sting / Just Eat sponsership bumper / ITV ID Sting
16) Coca-Cola ad (Full version of the ad at the start...for both Coca-Cola Classic *and* Zero Sugar! Spearheaded by the worlds most uncritical liker of a soda brand, I guess)
17) Duracell ad (Featuring...Lanky Claus? I dunno, this campaign felt weird.)
18) First Choice ad
19) Barclaycard Entertainment ad
20) ComparetheMarket ad (This ad always didnt really hit when its shown in its edited-down form like it is here, ah well)
21) Ford SUV Range ad
22) Dreams ad (Haha, what a cheesy edit down of the music)
23) DFS ad
24) FreeviewPlay ad w/ Currys PC World Smart TV promotion
25) First Choice ad
26) ITV ID Sting / Promo for Spectre / Just Eat Sponsership bumper
27) ITV Were Back ID Sting / Omninousness and Gruntinousness / ITV Back Soon ID Sting / Just Eat sponsership bumper
28) ITV ID Sting / UK TV spot for Alita: Battle Angel (A *GIGANTIC* minute-and-a-half ad thats virtually its own mini-trailer for the Robert Rodrieguez/James Cameron sci-fi cult hit. I think this movies awesome, so Id be biased with saying if this was too much or not. Definitely recommended for sci-fi action fans.)
29) Centre Parcs ad
30) SCS ad
31) Dreams ad
32) Jet2holidays ad (Oh WOW, this ad really annoyed the fudge out of me after a while. I pray they dont resurrect this campaign when its okay for them to advertise like they did again, haha)
33) Volkswagan Golf ad~
34) ITV ID Sting / Promo for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (Trans rights are human rights, screw J.K.)
35) Just Eat sponsership bumper / ITV Were Back ID Sting / More omninousnessness [1/3] ITV (UK) Ads, Continuity and Junction (30th December 2018)](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/HdkNMwGOubQ/mqdefault.jpg)
