Decided to make up for my lack of activity on this channel for the last week or so by posting a pretty humongous one this time. Nearly 25 minutes of old TV ads, courtesy of a VHS that was only available with a now-obscure board game from the UK called "Ad-Mad!" (which was made with the co-operation and added product placement of Sony and Channel 4).

I remember having this board game as a Christmas gift in 1999, but as the copyright on the video, the board game and so on say "(C) 1996", I'm going to go with the fact that this VHS is from 1996. It contains a half-and-half (or so) balance of ads that are more modern, as of 1996, and more vintage ads from as early as the 70's and from every other time practically from that point to '96. These *actual* ads take up very, very barely half of the video. The other half is dedicated to minute-long parts where you have to remember keywords that appear on the screen in relation to a question or weird-and-unsettling-as-crap freeze frame slideshows of other ads (if they have rights to these ads...why not actually show them? Weird).

But anyhoo, no more context for now. Gotta make room for CONTENTS!:

3) Barclaycard ad (w/ Rowan Atkinson and...some guy. Apologies for the stuttering, I used to play the VHS to this board game a LOT just for the ads.)

5) Littlewoods "Referee" ad (I love both of the Littlewoods ads on this tape...the better one coming up soon...)
6) Snickers ad (Introducing the name change from Marathon in 1990. Born a year after this, so I was born in a Snickers world. ;) )
7) Bassett's Jelly Babies ad (Uploaded this same ad on the "Stars of Space Jam: Bugs Bunny" Opening Trailer Reel vid...and just now I'm noticing the bad football puns. Yuck.)
8) Mars ad (From 1983, with the original "Mars a Day makes you Work, Rest and Play" jingle. Yep.)

10) Milky Way "Smart Old Blue" ad (The original, UNEDITED, UNDUBBED version. F Yes!)

13) Matchmakers ad (With Stephen Fry? Yes? No? Either way, holy crap I crave these. Haven't had some in forever.)
14) McVities ad (That jingle at the end is so weird in how catchy it is but...it IS catchy!)
