a. 1980 New Hampshire Primary (Ronald Reagan won this in a landslide. He soon became the front-runner, even though George Bush had previously won the Iowa Caucus in January)
b. Move to oust Democratic Chairman in Georgia (Marge Thurman kept her job as chairwoman until 1982)
c. Georgia sets age limit for purchasing alcohol to 19 (The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 signed by Ronald Reagan made this sort of individual state legislation basically moot. It penalized states with an age limit below 21 by by reducing its annual federal highway apportionment by 10 percent, which has since been amended to 8 percent. Despite the law, many states allow underage consumption with supervision in specific circumstances; the law only applies to purchasing and public possession of alcohol)
d. Georgia House votes to reduce state income tax
