The milling connector provides a strong, internal fastening method that requires no profile machining. It allows infinite positioning along the mating profile and can be used even when the mating profile end is captivated. The point of the set screw bites into the bottom of the T-slot profile, making it a secure connection. The milling connector can be used in pairs.

Stanchions are great for holding tubes, and round bars into place. They are unique to our fractional product line and great for applications such as camera mounts, sensors, and much more. Now our stanchions come in a variety of styles, we have single and double, offset and centered, horizontal and vertical, and our cross clamp. Regardless of your choice, a bolt assembly will be needed. More information on 80/20’s recommended bolt assemblies can be found in the 80/20 product catalog. Now when it comes to installing our stanchion, we’ll take our bolts and our washers, load them in there, and we’ll take our t-nut and put it on the end of our bolt. Now you want to make sure that the pilot projection on the Tnut is facing away from the stanchion. So we’ll take our stanchion, and simply slide it into the open Tslot. We’ll get into the desired location that we want, and we’ll tighten down our bolts. Now once we have that tightened down, we can put our tube in. We’ll take our wrench and we’ll tighten down the bolts on the side of the stanchion to hold our tube into place. Now one last stanchion we want to talk about is our cross clamp. Has a strong hold, but it’s adjustable. So any time you need to move a tube, simply loosen the brake, move it into a new location that you want, and tighten it back down. Today we’re going to take a look at the slam latch. This latch is both secure, and able to be locked. It’s easy to install and is available in both fractional and metric. Now the great thing about this latch, is that it requires no machining. However, a bolt assembly will be required to install it. Now when it comes to installing the slam latch, both sides of it are going to install in the same way, so we got the handle side already installed. To install the latch side, we’re going to take one last bolt and feed it through, put one last T-nut on. Once we got that preloaded on, we’re going to drop it right into the T-slot. Get that in there, we’ll line it up with the handle side, we’ll snap it all into place, we’ll go ahead and hold that into place and grab our wrench and tighten it down. Now once we got that tightened into place, we’ve got a secure connection, but we’re going to add on a little extra security,. We’re going to add in these cover caps. Now once these are slid in and the whole handle is locked into place, you’re not going to be able to access your bolts. That’s going to give you added security for when you have it locked up. Today we’re going to take a look at standard metal hinges. These hinges are great for profile-to-profile connections. They’re easy to install and available in both fractional and metric. The standard metal hinges come in both black and bright zinc. It requires no machining to install, but does require a bolt assembly. More information on 80/20’s recommended bolt assemblies can be found in the 80/20 product catalog. Now to install it. We’re get our bars into place and grab our hinge. We’ll give it one last bolt and preload one last T-nut. Now the T-nut has a pilot projection on it that you’re going to want to face downwards or away from the hinge when you put it on. So we’ll slide that right on. And we’ll take half the hinge and slide it right into the open T-slot. We’ll grab the other bar and do the same thing. Now once we have those lined up and into position, we’ll take our wrench and tighten down each bolt. Now once we have all these tightened down, our hinge will be ready for use.
