Hello and welcome to 80/20’s product highlight series. Today we are going to take a look at deluxe and furniture handles. These handles mount direct to the T-slot, and are a great finishing touch to any door. They are easy to install and available in both fractional and metric. These door handles are available in both chrome and black style finishes, locking, non-locking, clockwise and counterclockwise turns, and several different styles to suit your project’s needs.

No matter your choice, all recommended mounting hardware comes with the handle. However, machining will need to be done to your bar, just like this. To get started we are going to take our handle and our frame. We’re going to feed our handle right through the frame. Take our bolts, feed those thru. We’ll go ahead and tighten those down, and once we have those tightened down, we’re going to move to the inside. Take a washer and slide it right over the stem. Take a paw kit, and slide it right over the stem as well.

Now once you have that on there, all you need to do is take a flat head screwdriver and tighten down that setscrew. Once you have that tightened, your handle is ready for use. Now one last thing you may want to consider is an additional handle for the inside. You simply loosen this little setscrew on it, slide it onto the stem, you’ll go ahead and tighten down that set screw, and you’ll have a handle for both sides of your frame.

Today were going take a look at the Gusset Corner Bracket. 80/20s gussets are not only easy to install but require no machining. They come in both fractional, metric, and are available across a wide range of profile series. When using it, you have a choice. A gusset can be used as a stand-alone fastening method, or to reinforce another fastening method. Here we can see a small sample of the gussets 80/20 offers. As you can see, it comes in a wide variety of shapes, and sizes, making it one of the more versatile fastening methods that 80/20 offers. Now one thing youll want to keep in mind when using the gusset, is youll need bolt assemblies to install it. Recommended bolt assemblies for all gussets can be found in the 80/20 product catalog. Now when it comes to installing your gusset bracket, the first thing youre going to want to do is preload your hardware. Preloading not only makes it easier to install your gusset, but also saves time during assembly. To save additional time and money, youll want to look for opportunities to substitute out a single T-nut for a double T-nut like in this example. Now to get started well take our gusset with the preloaded hardware on it, and finish it up with one last bolt and one last T-nut. Now when installing the T-nut its important to know to face the pilot hole down, away from the gusset. Once we have that one there, were ready for our bars. Well slide the gusset right onto our first bar. Well take our second bar, and slide it right onto the gusset as well. Well take our wrench and tighten down. Today we’re going to take a look at the locking grabber handle. This handle combines a slam action latch, a handle, and a lock into one convenient unit. It’s easy to install and it’s available in both fractional and metric. Now the handle does come with all recommended mounting hardware, however, your panel is going to need a machining service in it. More information on 80/20’s machining services can be found in the 80/20 product catalog. Now when it comes to installing it, you’ll take the locking portion first. Put it into the panel. You’ll take the backing plate, and slide it onto the backside, and we’ll sandwich the panel right in between them. You’ll take your screws and start hand tightening them down. Get that bottom one on there. From there, you’ll take your Phillips screwdriver, and tighten those down. Now the last thing you’ll want to do is move your strike plate into position. We’ve got ours preloaded into the T-slot already. So we’ll line it up with the latch, we’ll take our wrench, we’ll just tighten that down. Once you have the locked into place, you have a strong secure connection. Now one other thing you’ll want to note is that there is a lever on the inside so you can open it from either direction. Today we’re going to take a look at end caps. These end caps are a perfect finishing touch for any project. Giving it a nice, clean, aesthetic look. They’re easy to install. They’re available in both fractional and metric, and compatible across a wide range of profile series. They’re also available in a wide variety of colors, and you can get them with or without lettering. Now these come in a couple different styles. One with a hole in the middle of it, so you can put it right over the end of the profile. Take a push pin, push it right into the middle of the profile, and hold it securely into place. Now you can also use a self tapping screw, which will bite into the aluminum for a secure connection. Now we have two other styles. One has a stem built into the back of it, that’s going to work just like your push in pin. As you can see there is a wide variety of shapes, angles, and sizes, making it one of the more versatile fastening options 80/20 offers. Well get one half of it on there. Tighten it down. Well take our other profile, and slide it right onto the other half of the angle plate. Once we have that in there, well take our wrench, and tighten down the last two bolts. Once you have that tightened, you have a strong, secure connection.
