The standard anchor fastener assembly is comprised of a socket head cap screw, cam, and T-nut. It is one of the strongest internal fastening methods, offering a long-lasting connection. The anchor fastener provides infinite positioning along the mating profile’s T-slot, allowing a large degree of adjustability. The anchor fastener provides 90 degree, flush, vibration resistant connections, especially convenient where space restrictions apply. This connection method requires a counterbore machining service on the mounting profile. Additional Information: Cams are available separately (without the socket head cap screw and T-nut) for instances where you want to create your own custom assembly.

Today we’re going to take a look at wire duct. Wire duct is a great way to neatly organize your cables. It’s available in both fractional and metric, compatible across a wide range of profile series, and requires no machining. However, a bolt assembly will be required. So we’re going to go ahead and preload our last Tnut onto our bolt. Get that on there. Just get our profile into position, and we’ll just slide our T-nuts into the T-slot. We’ll get it to the desired location that we want, we’ll grab our wrench, and we’ll tighten down our bolts. Today were going to take a look at a vast selection of T-nuts that 80/20 offers. 80/20s T-nuts come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and finishes to suit your projects needs. Theyre available in fractional, metric, and compatible across a wide range of profile series. Now the first style of T-nut were going to talk about is the standard economy slide-in T-nut. This is one of the more popular options that 80/20 offers and comes standard in most recommended bolt assemblies. Now as the name suggests, it simply slides in from the side of the profile. Now however, you want to make sure that the pilot projection is facing downwards, or towards the middle of the profile. Now, the great thing about this T-nut is that you can substitute out a single T-nut sometimes for a double and a triple T-nut to save you time on your build. Now, lets say that, that doesnt work and you are farther along in your project, or its completely finished and you want to add something on later, and you cant access the end of your profile. Thats where our next two options come into play. The first one, is the drop in T-nut; simply drop it in anywhere in the open T-slot, and lock it into place, like so. Now one other option we have is a roll in T-nut. It serves the same purpose, but just like it sounds, it rolls into the open T-slot. Now when we are using this, we have a few different options. We have T-nuts with a set screw, a flex handle, a ball spring, or a spring leaf. Now although all these look different, they all serve the same purpose, and that is to hold themselves into place, despite the orientation of the bar. Now one last T-nut were going to talk about is the self-aligning T-nut. This one helps fills any open space in the T-slot, and helps you line up your bolts a lot easier during install. Now as you can see, T-nuts come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes here at 80/20, but they all ensure a strong, secure connection to your project.
