This tutorial explains how to perform an 8 point anti-spin with a staff.

The shape formed by this antispin is a type of Hypocycloid called a Octcuspid, meaning 8 cusps. The staff creates this pattern using 8 points.

A prerequisite for this is the 4 point and 6 point anti-spin.

This can be performed with a Jo staff, however smaller staves can create quicker rotations.

This type of movement is more common with Poi in Flow arts however there are martial applications buried within the movements.
