We had a lot of rain in the forecast. To keep the tomatoes from splitting so badly, the ripest ones were picked. There was about 8 bushels total. Any time you have almost ripe tomatoes on the vines, and heavy rains in the forecast, it's a good idea to go ahead and do some serious picking. This was more than enough to fulfill my promise to several people in regard to sharing with them. They are all very happy now, and so am I. Now that the tomatoes are out of the way, I can make plans for picking some sweet corn.
